Cartography is the study and practice of making and using maps.
Maps, lunar maps to be specific have been filling my life. I’m working though some details that have been left blank and highlighted in yellow. Yellow means – hey, lookie here, you left something important out. When I’m just barfing or crafting, I will sometime leave it to keep the flow in my head. It’s always ‘I’ll get to that detail later’ kinda thing.
I have been sleeping with my moon globe. Huge lunar maps have been added to my wall of thinking and yes, I’m using googly eyed pins to mark things. Why wouldn’t I? Speaking of which, the great oracle Google, is just auto starting my searches with ‘on the lunar surface where is… search results. There is a map in my journal. There is a map under the couch, I’m afraid to stick my hand under it to get that one out. I will wait until I pull out the vacuum cleaner.
QUESTION: If the earth is spinning faster, would the moon stay at its same speed or would it also spin around faster? I’m not even sure it matters for the story but, curious minds want to know.
Chronology is the science that deals with measuring time by regular intervals; assigning events their proper dates.
“People assume that time is a strict progression from cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.” – Doctor Who
Astro-physicist are now proving this. Thank you, Webb Skyeye.
I have pulled up my time lines from computer files, pulled out of my dusty box of notes, all are making their way to the table. I have been going over them and rewriting little things that I now realize are needed. I am glad that only a few things have shifted.
I have even started to get some refinement done at the beginning of the Domes. Wow, exciting. So that means that things are coming along.
As always you can join my Patreon page and learn secret squirrel stuff, or even buy me a cup of tea at that Ko-fi site. But better yet – Buy my book! The Harvesters by M. Narf
