Another step forward towards the moon. An exciting morning. The next HOP done. Yes, Two RUD’s, one for each stage. (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly) All goals met. Made it through MECO(main engine cut off), Separation -booster was quick to RUD. Hot staging(the big goal), and on to Second stage engines – that is when the feed was lost: at approx. T+8:05 minutes. Then the ship itself, had a RUD. More than what was needed for study. Congrats.
If the RUD’s were controlled by mission control, or the automatic system, or not, it doesn’t matter. Safety is more important. We will learn all of those details in time. Congrats SpaceX.
