I got in!

I applied to attend a workshop for commercial writers. I had no hope of being accepted. It was one of those moment when I had some ‘what the fuck, why not’ going on in my head.

I will be learning how to prepare a packet for submission to agents. Those crazy letters and write-ups needed for them to look at, and then turn down. So much for positive thinking.

At this point, I have the first ten pages of book 3 almost ready, which is #1 on their list. I’m now stressing over creating a 2-page synopsis. This is #2 on their list. What does that mean? Do I create that based on the whole series? Just book three? A recap of up to book 4????

What scares me the most is their final item on the list. #3 is a query letter. Perhaps I will learn AI – Oh, Grok…

Did you know, probably not, that grok was the first word I got nicked on by an editor. She had never heard it. What a difference five years have made in the usage of an obscure sci-fi word, created by Robert A. Heinlein in his novel, Stranger in a Strange Land. Now it has grown into public grokking.

Again, thank you for your support. I promised it would not go to waste.
